Glenn Squires, Chief Executive Officer of Pacrim Hospitality Services Inc. and Holloway Lodging REIT, has over 30 years of hospitality lodging experience. Glenn’s operational insights and forward-thinking have proven invaluable in the development and growth of both Pacrim and Holloway. In1997 Pacrim owned and managed 4 hotels in Atlantic Canada. Today, Pacrim is one of Canada’s largest independently owned hotel management and development companies with a portfolio of 59 multi-branded hotels, totaling more than 6,000 hotel rooms in 10 provinces and 2 states. Holloway Lodging REIT is a publicly listed company which was formed in 2006 and currently owns 22 hotels with 2,423 rooms.
Pacrim recently received Hotelier Magazine’s 2008 Pinnacle Award as “Hotel Company of the Year” (National) for its significant impact on the industry through employee training programs, new products and/or techniques, growth and contribution to the community and also the “Tops in Hospitality Award” in recognition of the greatest percentage increase hotel category.
Committing his time and energy to building both companies, Glenn also believes in giving back to the community and has served on many boards, committees and charitable organizations. Glenn is currently Vice-Chair of IAHI; Chair of the Crowne Plaza Committee and is also leading a task force on corporate responsibility as it pertains to the environment and community involvement.He has been named “Developer of the Year” (Canada) by IHG and recently received an international development award from Wyndham Worldwide and the “Vision Award” for his leadership from the Nova Scotia Tourism Industry.
