Every day, 330,000 colleagues directly support our guests or our hotels. It’s the hard work and dedication of our teams around the world that's the key to our success and the reason we can deliver Great Hotels Guests Love.
In recognition of this, we've created Celebrate Service, the week of July 26th. This will be a week dedicated to celebrating and thanking everyone who works in an IHG-branded hotel or our corporate offices for their outstanding service.
Today, we launch our Celebrate Service site on Merlin. We encourage all general managers, owners and corporate managers to visit the site to find all the tools you’ll need to plan a special week for your employees - including how to get your team excited, celebrate the great work they do and capture these moments in unique ways. There are also easy-to-use materials that you can customise for your event including posters, invitations and thank you cards, and an area to share your ideas and discover how your colleagues are celebrating. What you choose to do can be as simple or as elaborate as you like, but however you get involved, we hope you’ll find a way to say a big “thank you” to your team.
We’d also love to hear your stories – stories about how colleagues are delivering a great guest experience and going that extra mile. On the site, there's a page to upload stories, photos and videos. We’ll be sharing these stories around the world, and all stories submitted will be entered to win unbelievable prizes including tickets to the 2012 Olympic Games in London!
Together, IHG, the IAHI and our owners will be taking part in the largest recognition of people our industry has ever seen. It’s going to be a great week - we really hope you'll join us.
