Mark Carrier is the Senior Vice President of the B.
F. Saul Company Hotel Division. The B. F. Saul Company
is a large, privately held diversified real estate and
banking concern based in the Washington, D.C. area. The
Hotel Division owns and operates a portfolio of 18 business
class hotels, which are affiliated with Marriott, Hilton,
InterContinental Hotels Group, and The Hay-Adams – one of the nation’s finest historic hotels. Eight of the hotels are affiliated with Intercontinental Hotels Group.
Mark’s leadership responsibilities for the B. F. Saul Company include strategic planning, overall operational direction, acquisition and development of properties, long term financial
and capital planning along with the development and implementation of corporate policies, procedures and management systems.
Mark joined the B. F. Saul Company following graduation in 1980 from the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration. He attained the Certified Hotel Administrator designation in 1985. He represents the company as a member of the AH&LA and is a member of the Cornell Society of Hotelmen. Carrier serves on the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors of the IAHI, and currently serves as Chairman of the Distribution-Reservations Channels Committee. Carrier also serves on the Executive Committee and Board of FXVA, the Fairfax County, Virginia Convention and Visitors Corporation.
