Leadership Biography: Sonny Sra

Sonny Sra is the senior vice president of Remington Hotels, one of the largest, independently owned hotel investment, development, and management companies in the United States. Remington’s portfolio of 32 properties is represented by nine different brands – including Crowne Plaza, Sheraton, Hilton, Embassy Suites, Radisson, Doubletree, Residence Inn, Red Lion, and Marriott. Remington focuses solely on the hospitality industry. The company has excelled in all areas involving hotel investments - including single assets, large portfolio acquisitions, partnership recapitalizations, development, rebranding, and renovations.

Sonny has been in the hospitality business for 32 years, the last 15 of which have been with Remington Hotels. During this time, he has served as general manager, area manager, vice president, divisional vice president, and currently, as senior vice president.

He is a Board member of the IAHI, as well as a member of the Crowne Plaza and Priority Club committees. His numerous other affiliations include being a member of Sheraton’s Marketing Advisory Board; member of Radisson’s Franchise Advisory Council; member of the Executive Committee and Board of the Convention and Visitors Bureau of Fort Worth, Texas; member of the Board of Directors for Fort Worth Downtown, Inc.; and past member of the Hilton Marketing Advisory Council. Additionally, he has served on several boards of civic and other organizations.

Sonny received his Bachelor’s of Science degree from Punjab University in India and received his MBA from Armstrong Atlantic State University.
